Huntsville City Schools Athletic Eligibility:

In Alabama, each school has zone lines that determine where each student attends. The zone lines are determined by the county or city school system that governs that particular school. The Alabama High School Athletic Association uses these zone lines to determine athletic eligibility. When a student transfers from one school to another school he/she is not eligible to participate in athletics at the new school for a period of one year from the transfer date. There are some exceptions to the transfer rule and these exceptions are found in the AHSAA handbook. Each Principal and Athletic Director of all schools will have a handbook in the office.
